WHY PEOPLE SAVE BOOKS
My topic is related to why people save books after they read them. I chose this topic because i save books too.In this text i will compare and contrast my reasons and other people’s reasons for this issue. Many people who like to read also save the books they have read.Almost everonehasa single Bookshelf in their homes.they read and hhen collect books. There may be several reasons, but i am going to mention three of them.
One reason is that people save books as a reference material. For example, a doctor may keep his anatomy and pharmacology books, an English teacher ,like I am going to be,may hold on to anthologies and novels which belong to English Literature as a reference. However ,it is not only the professionals who save their books. Those interested in electronic equipment hold on to their books about computers, stereos and machines. Many families keep encyclopedias for the children to use for school.
Another reason is that some people save books is to make a good impression.I have never had a thought like this.I think this thought is nonsense.Books have never been saved for this reason, but some people think that a library full of the classics, dictionaries and books about art ,science and history make them look well read and therefore, sophisticated. Also , some people like to reveal to visitors their interests and tastes by this way. There is a deeper reason .This reason is my main reason too.People who enjoy reading have discovered the magic of books. Each book has transported the reader to another place. Therefore, each book really represents an experience from which the reader may have learned something. For example, when I read the book of Reşat Nuri Güntekin,Çalıkuşu,I wanted to save it ,because I found something from me in that book.It affected me a lot. While reading I felt as if I was another World.
To sum up, the reasons why many people save books center on the need to use them as a reference material,to make a good impression and to cherish the emotional bond like me.
